Therefore, we do not lose heart! Though outwardly we are washing away, inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary but what is unseen is eternal.

confession needed.

I am officially ashamed.  Tonight, I have eaten more junk food than I have in the past 6 months.
I'm going to blame it on Jazzercize.. I accompanied my aunt to her Jazzercise class.  I know you're thinking, "Jazzercize?"  You might think the sound of Jazzercise with a bunch of women over 40 sounds lame, but let me tell you,  IT. WAS. INTENSE.  Naturally, after such rigorous exercise there was a need to indulge.

It started with the cheddar jalapeno cheetos- nasty, right?
Mom and I then hopped in the car and found ourselves at Krystal- haven't had one of those little burgers in maybe 5 years.
Following some little cheese krystals and chicks, we made our way over to sonic to try some "Pickle-o's" (Sonic's attempt at fried pickles) that I have been anxious to taste.  Unfortunately, they didn't live up to my expectations.... at all.
As if we hadn't had enough, Mom decides she's in the mood for some Chick-fil-a ice cream (in which you can't go wrong).  She ordered  2 large cones.

Needless to say, I have consumed most of my spring break calories over the span of two hours.

Now, you should feel better about yourself and what you thought was eating "too much."

phew. that's better.
now on with life.

nineteen ninety....something.

Since I've been riding with Mom everywhere, I have taken advantage of the XM radio and have found myself listening to the 90's station.  Really, Hart? I've always made fun of it.... but you HAVE to love a little Merril Bainbridge and Donna Lewis... and appreciate the quality of 90's music videos as well.
Oh.  Hello Third Grade.

and of course, a personal favorite of mine...

a rather interesting approach to a music video... what is she dancing around in?   And what's with the shoes?

love your car

Whether your drive a pre-1990 Oldsmobile or a 2010 Range Rover, you should be thankful for your wheels. Even though swiping your card at the gas pump may,at times, be disheartening, I urge you to rejoice in the opportunity.     I had forgotten the middle school feeling of being carted around by your mom- I am now reminded... No running to Walmart, grabbing a smoothie, or visiting your friends on your own free will (or should I say "wheel").  Oh, ramming your car into a 20 year old steel boat will definitely take away 90% of your freedom (and pride while we're at it). I leave that 10% open for anyone who is near me and would like to take me out for a spin.
Now, all negativity aside, I will say that having an excuse to stay in sweats all day, take long luxurious bubble baths, and watch chick flicks with my mom is not much to be pitied.  Spring break is actually a break for me for the first time in four years, and I intend to soak it up... every last drop.

Enough said.

So... I often wake up in the science library... meaning that at some point, I fell asleep there.
Tonight, I am getting almost 8 hours! Woo hoo!   Thought I'd share my excitement...
GOOD NIGHT!

a few of my favorite things...

I decided I would post a few of my favorite things... not just so you'll know me better, but because I feel you might benefit from knowing about some of these things (if you don't already)... If you know me, many of these are a complete given... if not, you will know me much better.

My absolute favorite thing in the whole world is my family... Lucky for me, I have two!

Obviously, music is a big thing for me.  I'll share only two of my top 5 favorite artists.  We will go a duh- the beatles.

and then I have to say there isn't a day without any Ray playing in my car

My favorite place is also a duh for anyone who has had a conversation with me.  I've never appreciated the Lord's creation so much in my life- And of course, my memories there are so dear to my heart.    Welcome to my backyard summer 2008.  Jackson Hole Wyoming.

I am very rarely without this...

These will brighten ANY room.  They remind me of sunshine.

Every month, I look forward to this wonderful treasure arriving in my PO Box...

Ok, so I really love when my little cousins play with my hair (except when Emmy gets dibs on my hair).  I really prefer for one of the older girls...  but Emmy normally gets her way and wants the longest hair... so...

Not a week passes by without at LEAST two visits to this mouth watering masterpiece in oxford...

Now, this counts for two... i love boats and i love summer time in chattanooga (where my daddy lives)...

a picture is worth 1000 words.... or more.   My favorite hobby is photography... and I currently LUST over this camera.  Whenever I have money, I will be purchasing it.

I can't leave out this guy... I'd definitely be lying if I didn't say he was a favorite...

... and this girl.... she's a favorite many things... lucky for me, I live with her.. (and Danyul Bear)

gosh, I just realized that I have gone a little overboard... there are many more of my favorite things, but this is it for now.  I don't even want to confess how long I've been on the blog world tonight.  To be continued...
